Cape Verde’s heroic keeper Vozinha has completed more dribbles than Portugal icon Cristiano Ronaldo.

The unbelievable stat is the latest claim-to-fame for the goalkeeper, who has dominated the headlines during the 2026 World Cup.

According to official stats, Vozinha completed one dribble during Cape Verde‘s historic World Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has not yet managed one. The 41-year-old icon, who is just a year older than Vozinha, has been used as a lone striker for Portugal.

Despite Cape Verde’s journey coming to an end last night, it was a World Cup to remember and Vozinha saw himself go viral after just one game.

Following his clean sheet in the 0-0 draw with Spain, he gained 1million Instagram followers after making seven saves and helping Cape Verde earn their first ever World Cup point.

And it was a personally emotional time for the shot stopper following the draw with Spain, as he was reunited with his mother just days later after the US Government granted her a visa.

A 2-2 draw with Uruguay and then another 0-0 with Saudi Arabia granted the Cape Verdeans safe passage into the knockouts as they finished an impressive second in Group H.

This set up a last 32 clash with World Cup holders Argentina last night, and once again Vozinha and Cape Verde rose to the challenge.

A Deroy Duarte equaliser on the hour mark cancelled out Lionel Messi‘s first half goal and maintained Cape Verde’s unbeaten record in the World Cup in normal time.
