The Chelsea dressing room are open to 45-year-old replacing Liam Rosenior

While the Chelsea board has shut the door on John Terry, it has been suggested that the players were more open to the idea.

Since transitioning to coaching, John Terry has honed his craft under Dean Smith at Aston Villa and within Chelsea’s own academy, earning plaudits for his growth and defensive organisation.

Despite his dream of managing the Chelsea first team, his exclusion from the recent interim setup stems from the board’s wariness about his lack of senior experience.

According to the Daily Mail, someone close to John Terry has told them that he would have loved to work with Chelsea’s squad, and that the feeling might even be mutual inside the changing room.
