Olivier Glasner held a six-hour meeting with the AC Milan leadership about taking the head coach role, Fabrizio Romano confirmed.

Various sources reported earlier in the week that an appointment had been scheduled with Glasner for Tuesday by Gerry Cardinale, who is overseeing a complete restructuring of Milan’s sporting department after the collapse of last season.

La Gazzetta dello Sport then reported this morning that the meeting with the Austrian coach had been a positive one. Glasner – who left Crystal Palace after winning the Conference League – is enthused by the idea and showed up for the meeting well-prepared with ideas.
