Following the season-ending injury to Dani Carvajal, there has been a lot of talk about Real Madrid possibly entering the market in January for a new right-back.
However, reports suggest that club president Florentino Perez is not entirely convinced about such a move and is instead planning for reinforcements in the summer only.
A new right-back is set to be at the top of the agenda, with Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold, whose contract is expiring in the summer, being the top target.
However, Real Madrid are also lining up other options in case their pursuit of the England international does not end up bearing fruit.
To that end, journalist Florian Plettenberg reports that Real Madrid are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen and Netherlands right-back Jeremie Frimpong as an option for the summer of 2025.
