Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji is poised to move to Inter Milan on a season-long loan, with the clubs agreeing on the key details of the deal.
The agreement includes a €2 million loan fee, with part of Akanji’s salary to be covered by Inter. The Italian giants also secured a €15 million option-to-buy clause, which could become mandatory under certain conditions.
If Akanji features in at least 50% of Inter’s matches this season and the club goes on to win Serie A, the purchase clause will automatically be triggered, making the transfer permanent.
This move provides Inter with a proven defensive presence, while Manchester City gains flexibility in their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
